| Success
through Commitment to Excellence |
We
treat every jobsite like it is our own home.
Our clients are our "marketeers"...100%
of our work is from referrals. This comes from years of fulfilling
the promises we make to our clients. Those may sound like fancy words,
but without commitment and follow through, we know we would not have
these or future clients. We understand this and that's why when we
see something wrong on "our" jobsite, we take the time to
correct it as if it were our own.
Please take a moment to look at the samples we've provided below.
We have more to show you during our initial
consultation. A list of references is available upon request. |

Restoration
The Martin Home
Formerly
the "New Century Club"
Historic Richland Tennessee
|
|
Project
Began: October 1999
Project Complete: February 2000
This Chrysalis Award - Winner of the Best Whole House Renovation
in 2000, began after The New Century Club, a ladies bridge/philanthropic
club for five decades plus, sold the property to the Martins. Previous
renovations had left multiple doors and window heights, small partitioned
spaces, and through the wall AC units. Total system replacement
(Electrical, plumbing, mechanical) was required to bring the residence
up to codes. The side entry was transformed into a new living space.
Interior transoms, boxed and wrapped with multiple piece crown molding
brought in maximum light and maximum height to the 1st floor living
spaces. Most of the original Oak hardwood flooring was salvaged
and refinished to a beautiful luster. The ladies of the New Century
Club will be visiting in late spring; we'll let you know what they
have to say.

Additions and Remodeling
Belle Meade Addition |
|
Herbert Roger's
old residence in Historic Belle Meade served as the basis for adding
a new library, 2nd story master bedroom suite, and new entry foyer
and music room, with a three-car garage and additional storage area.
This major project took ten months to complete, and involved the
use of architectural pieces from France, custom made doors and windows,
and a 2nd story terrace off the music room. Numerous structural
challenges including concrete retaining and foundation support walls,
steel I-Beam work, and the installation of pre-cast concrete slabs
by crane were required to build this addition. The music room pictured
features a French limestone mantle with herringbone firebrick, plaster-finished
walls with deep color glazing, and six-piece crown moulding.

Bath Remodel
- Enlarged
the square footage of the master bath
- Create a
spacious feel in the limited area
- Add closet
space
As you can
see, the bathroom pictured as well as two others in the house were
in dire need of renovation. A complete gutting down to the studs
and floor joists was required to reach a solid starting place. This
tub was located in the master bathroom, and was replaced with a
Kohler tub and valve. The window was replaced with a custom etched
piece of glass sandwiched in insulated glass. If you look close
you'll see the etched umbrella with trickling raindrops. You'll
have to admit, the new shower is somewhat more enticing than the
old one.

Kitchen Remodel
This kitchen
won a design award in 1999. The peninsula and ceiling hung cabinets
were eliminated in favor of an open cabinet design with center island.
The old picture window was replaced with a Marvin Box Bay unit,
complete with operable side casements and window seat. The tile
backsplash and natural finished mouldings textures the clean white
cabinet appearance. Granite counters and island top along with select
Oak hardwood flooring further warm the classically white kitchen.

Project began
October, 1999
Project completed December, 2000
New construction -
10,000 sq. ft.
A Queen Anne
Victorian residence, with all the modern amenities of 2000, this
10,000 sq.ft. residence spans the century with Walnut floors throughout
and a Mahogany walled library. Two hot water recirculating pumps
help make a hot jacuzzi bath or a hot steam shower available in
any one of the 5 full baths. Two half baths catch the overflow,
and speaking of heat, the geothermal mechanical system keeps the
house cozy and comfortable. Subzero, Thermadore, & Bosch appliances
highlight a spectacular kitchen, which looks out onto the pool,
waterfall, pool house, hot tub, and gazebo. A 3,000 sq.ft. garage/guest
house accommodates vehicles and visitors alike.

Remodel
World Class Travel |
|
Project Began:
October 1998
Project Completion: November 1998
Through referral,
we were asked if we could help redo an attorneys office. The client
wanted a creative, inviting space for an upper end travel agency,
and one that did not feel like a cold commercial space. The rolled
barrel ceiling with flanking can lights serve as a perfect backdrop
for a cloud-laced sky. The use of fire-rated French doors allowed
for light and more openness to spill from the entry hall into the
reception area. And even the doors and sidewalls received "Worldly
Treatment" to inspire their travel clients as they enter to make
their travel plans. A painted / sealed concrete floor completed
the entry invitation.

Thoughts
from the owner:
"Each time I enter our lovely Green Hills office I am reminded
of your creativity, professionalism and integrity. We are enjoying
our space so much and continue to receive many compliments on the
"look and feel" of the office. It is a comfortable environment
that has worked out as we dreamed and imagined which is not always
the case with a remodeling situation.
Your team is terrific. We appreciated the attention Brian gave to
the project, the fact that it was completed on schedule and that
your company as a whole seemed so interested in what we wanted to
accomplish. I will certainly call Coleman Construction for any future
building needs I have."
Sincerely,
Linda Raymer, President/CEO
